About Our Home

About Nehemiah House

Nehemiah House is a structured, therapeutic residential home designed to support men navigating serious mental health and behavioral challenges. Founded and owned by Erica Baker and led by Residential Manager Daryl Bonelli, QMHP, our program provides a stable, dignified, and recovery‑focused environment where residents can rebuild their lives with purpose.

We offer 24/7 supportive housing, daily structure, life‑skills coaching, medication coordination, transportation to appointments, and a safe, respectful community that promotes healing and long‑term stability. Our mission is to meet each resident where they are and help them move toward independence with confidence and dignity.

What Nehemiah House Provides

Every aspect of the program is designed around one goal: helping men heal, grow, and thrive.

Safe Residential Housing

A structured, supportive living environment where men can stabilize, heal, and rebuild their lives with dignity and consistency.

Ongoing Mental Health Care

Residents receive regular individual and group therapy sessions, psychiatric support, and personalized treatment planning.

Community & Brotherhood

Peer support, shared routines, and a sense of belonging that reduces isolation and builds accountability.

Life Skills & Autonomy

Practical skill-building in areas like budgeting, employment readiness, self-care, and independent living.

Justice System Collaboration

We work closely with courts and behavioral health dockets to support men who need mental health care as part of their legal journey.

Transition Planning

Every resident leaves with a clear, supported plan for independent living — housing, services, and community connections in place.

Community Support

Supporting Our Residents

Families and community partners often ask how they can support the men living in our home. While Nehemiah House operates as a for‑profit treatment residence, we gratefully accept voluntary gifts that enhance the daily living experience of our residents.

Your generosity helps us maintain a warm, stable, and dignified environment for individuals working hard to rebuild their lives.

We Accept Voluntary Gifts Such As:

Monetary gifts to support resident wellness and household needs

New or gently used clothing

Hygiene and toiletry items

Non‑perishable food and snacks

Bedding, linens, and household essentials

Cleaning supplies and everyday living items

All gifts are completely voluntary, not tied to services, and not tax‑deductible. They do not influence admission, treatment decisions, or program placement. They simply allow families and community members to uplift the individuals we serve.

“Nehemiah House exists because every man deserves a safe place to heal — not just survive. We walk alongside our residents every step of the way.”

— Erica Baker, MS, LPC, LPC-S, CGT, CMIP  •  Founder
