Dr. Richmond served in the United States Air Force as Deputy Chief of the Medical Staff and Medical Director of multiple mental health clinics, earning the Meritorious Service Medal for his outstanding contributions to military behavioral health care.

Dr. Kenneth Richmond, MD, MSOL, is a board-certified psychiatrist committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care to individuals and families throughout Virginia. With extensive training and experience spanning inpatient, outpatient, correctional, and telepsychiatry settings, Dr. Richmond brings a well-rounded, patient-centered approach to every clinical encounter.

Dr. Richmond earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree and completed his residency training in psychiatry, followed by advanced education culminating in a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership (MSOL). His unique combination of clinical medical training and leadership education enables him to deliver care that is not only clinically excellent but also thoughtfully coordinated within the broader healthcare system.

His career includes service as a psychiatrist in the United States Air Force, where he held the role of Deputy Chief of the Medical Staff and served as Medical Director for multiple mental health clinics. During his military service, Dr. Richmond was recognized with the Meritorious Service Medal for his exceptional dedication to the mental health and well-being of service members and their families.

As a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association (FAPA), Dr. Richmond remains actively engaged in the psychiatric community, staying current with the latest research, treatment modalities, and best practices in mental health care.
